Client/Server Architecture
Biblioscape Is Client/Server Ready
Biblioscape comes with its own server technology (BiblioRemote), so that it can be run out of the box in client/server mode. Biblioscape in client mode can access data managed by BiblioRemote to achieve high performance in a multi-user environment.
Client/Server Technology
The main advantages of client/server technology are high performance and scalability. Thousands of users can access the same database at the same time, and the database can store billions of records.
In a client/server environment, all the data are processed on the server, and only the results are returned to the local machine. This reduces the amount of network traffic between the server and the client machine, improving network performance. BiblioRemote is easy to manage, secure, and handles both LAN and Internet clients.
