You can use it to collect reference data, generate formatted references in popular styles like APA, MLA, etc. When you are ready to upgrade to Biblioscape, the learning curve will be minimum.
If you need to send your colleague some bibliographic data, why no use BiblioExpress as a viewer. It has basic search capability, and can group records based on column data by drag-and-drop.
