By default, Biblioscape will index the records during importing. This is a slow process if the number of imports is large. To significantly (up to 10 times) increase import speed, you should turn off live indexing before the import and regenerate the indexes after importing. To turn off live indexing, go to "Tools | Options" and click the "Database" tab, uncheck "Full text live indexing" and "Lookup tables live indexing". To regenerate those indexes after importing, please go to "File | Database | Update Lookup Index" and "File | Database | Update Search Index".
