If you are upgrading from Biblioscape 4, you need to convert the database to the new format. If you are using Biblioscape 3.x or earlier versions, please download Biblioscape 4 trial copy and open the database to bring it to version 4 format. Then click here to download bdetran utility program to convert Biblioscape 4 database to version 5 format as described below.
1. Unzip the downloaded file and double click bdetran.exe to run it.
2. On the "Source" tab, go to the folder where Biblioscape 4 database resides. Then select all tables on the right box by selecting the first one first, then hold down Shift key and select the last table.
3. Go to the "Destination" tab, and select the folder where you want the version 5 database to reside.
4. Go to the "Transfer" tab, click the "Begin Transfer" button.
If you have created new import filters or output styles using previous versions, you need to first export them as a file, then import it into Biblioscape 5.
