Customize Data Field Labels - November 26, 1999
There are 40 data fields in Biblioscape main table. By default, there are 20 reference types. For the same data field, it can be labeled differently for different reference types. For example, data field "Sec_title" is labeled "Journal" for "Journal Article" type record, and it is labeled "Book Title" for "Book Section" type record. Data field labels can be customized according to reference type. In the following example, we will show you how to change the label for data field "Custom_1" to "Institution" for reference type "Journal Article".
1. Go to menu command "Tools | Options".
2. On the "Reference Type" tab, move to the column "Journal Article" and select row "Custom_1".
3. Type "Institution" into the selected cell and click "OK" button.
4. Next time, when you select a reference of "Journal Article" type, the label for data field "Custom_1" will be displayed as "Institution".
